FARTHING CONTINUES WINNING WAYS, TAKING ROUND 1 OF THE UWP / IJSBA NATIONAL TOUR
May 15, 2011
Panama City Beach, FL – Dustin Farthing, the reigning Pro Runabout Open World Champion, continued his winning ways by dominating Round 1 of the UWP / IJSBA National Tour aboard his Mountain Motorsports tuned Monster Energy Kawasaki Ultra 300X. Heavy wind and surf challenged all the competitors throughout the entire weekend of racing. It is challenging conditions like this where Farthing’s talent and experience really show. Farthing dominated the opening round by lapping the entire field on his way to winning two out of three moto’s and taking the overall victory in the Pro Runabout Open class for the weekend.
“I grew up racing in the Florida surf,” says Farthing. “The surf raises our sport to another level, and I’ve always felt that it really tests the riders and the equipment like nothing else,” Farthing continued. When asked who he would like to thank Farthing replied, “I really want to thank both my Father Phil and Gee for building me the best ski out there. The new Ultra 300X worked flawless in the waves and our new Mountain Motorsports Performance Handling package kept the ski hooked up all weekend.”
Be sure to catch Farthing and the rest of the Mountain Motorsports / Monster Energy / Kawasaki racing team when they head to Round 2 of the UWP / IJSBA National Tour on May 28th and 29th in Montgomery, AL.
