Father & Son Team of Vortech Supercharged 2010 Camaros Blast Down The 1320 In A New York Minute…

Leroy & Gregory Quillen with their Vortech Supercharged Camaros

Gregory and Leroy Quillen are a 1-2 punch of 5th Gen Camaro power. Both are showing the good citizens of Fishkill, NY what Vortech boosted power looks and sounds like with 2 equally potent Vortech Supercharged SS’. Gregory bought his Cyber Grey Metallic LS3 first, and after bringing it home, his father Leroy quickly fell in love with it. Leroy then went and turned in his 6 month old Japanese import to pick up some good ‘ol American Muscle of his own, a Silver Ice Metallic L99. Soon after, the horsepower bug got to them both, and they contacted Jannetty Racing in Waterbury, CT for some additional grunt. After going over all options, both Gregory and Leroy decided to go with a Vortech Supercharging System, exhaust upgrades, and custom tuning.

Upon receiveing his car back from Jannetty Racing, Gregory had this to say…”I just got my car back today. Took it for a cruise from CT to NY to NJ back to NY. AND I LOVE IT!!! Jannetty couldn’t have done a better job tuning it. It really flies.” Gregory’s combination includes the Vortech V-3 System with Air to Air Charge Cooler, American Racing Headers and X-Pipe, MSD Boost-A-Pump, and a custom tune by Jannetty Racing. The results speak for themselves – 598.1RWHP and 541.2RWTQ!

For Leroy’s L99, he went with the Vortech V-3 System with Air to Air Charge Cooler, Dynatech 1 7/8″ Headers, MSD Boost-A-Pump, and a custom tune by Jannetty Racing. His results were strong as well – 522RWHP and 496RWTQ.

After the modifications, the father & son took their cars to the track. They both learned that the factory street tires could no longer allow the cars to hook up with their new found power levels. However, so far Dad is winning the race with an 11.83 @ 120.02MPH. Gregory had more significant traction issues, posting a 12.44, but his 120.39MPH proved that low 11 second ETs are well within his grasp if he can get the car to launch without spinning the tires. Gregory says drag radials may be in his future.
