Jay Brock’s Super Bee may have started life already in limited company, being Super Bee #352 in 2008, but now we think he has raised its exclusivity status to 1 of a kind! The already potent factory 6.1L SRT engine was yanked out and replaced with a Performance Werks Racing forged 393 cubic inch powerplant utilizing a Scat crankshaft, K-1 Rods, and Manley Pistons, set up for some good ol’ Vortech boost. Performance Werks Mean Street cylinder heads, blower cam, Kooks 1 7/8″ long tube headers, and Corsa Xtreme catback exhaust help the engine deal with the 11psi from the Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Supercharging System with air-to-water charge cooler. The blower is turned up via an ATI 17% overdrive crank pulley, and a Tial-Q 50mm blow off valve sends the boosted air out between shifts. The serious fuel demands are handled by Fore Precision, with their dual pump returnless system and fuel rails, along with upgraded stainless fuel lines and a set of 80 lb. fuel injectors. This combination was good enough to net Jay and his Bee 637rwhp and 589rwtq on the dyno, and produce consistent 10 second quarter mile times at over 127mph!
Drivetrain improvements include a Paramount Performance high torque transmission, Paramount Dominator torque converter with 3400 stall, Paramount flex plate, a Getrag differential with 3.06 gears, an SLP line lock, and for the track, a set of M&H drag radials for the rear and a set of skinnies for the front! Just in case he gets in a situation where too much is still not enough, Jay also added a Nitrous Outlet N2O plate system as well.
Inside the cockpit, Jay’s got Aeroforce gauges, Aeroforce sensors for boost, fuel pressure, nitrous pressure, and wideband A/F, an RPM Rollbar chrome moly rollbar, and G-Force 5 point harnesses.
