Once again, the Fabulous Fords Forever show was a tremendous success. For one Sunday every year, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA turns into Ford central and it is nothing but Blue Oval goodness in every direction. We were on the scene to take pictures of all the Vortech, Paxton, and Lysholm Supercharged cars in attendance. Check out some of the highlights from the event.
Sal V’s V-3 Si Supercharged 5.0L “Last Ride” Tribute car was looking great as usual. He recently installed the Vortech 8-Rib Supercharger Drive upgrade assembly, and made over 600 horsepower at the wheels. Look for a lot more from this car in the future.
Charles P’s Vortech V-1 Supercharged Kompression Wheels Saleen Mustang was looking impressive as always. Check out those huge wheels in the rear with 345mm Toyo rubber!
Jeremy’s LX remains one of the cleanest around, although now it is putting down over 800 horsepower to the wheels thanks to a 347c.i. engine, Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharger, and a stellar tune from Bob Kurgan.
The EBay Motors Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharged Formula D Drift Mustang of Tony Brakohiapa was definitely surprising a few enthusiasts by being there, parked right amongst the other S197s. Builder Eric Cheney was there to answer questions and talk about the car.

Who doesn’t love ’96 Mystic Cobras? We especially like the custom grey powdercoating on the blower and intake manifold. Nice car.
This Paxton NOVI Supercharged ’57 Ford was a major attention grabber. I was walking along the aisle and was pulled right towards it like it had its own gravity. Gorgeous car, and so many nice touches with this build.
Franklin P’s Paxton NOVI 2200 Supercharged 5.0L Mustang GT Convertible.
We always love to see our good friend Mike H. and his Vortech V-2 Supercharged and Cooled GT at the local SoCal shows. He has put a lot of time and effort into this car and it shows.
You may have seen this sweet Vortech V-7 YSi Supercharged Fox Body on the cover of the MM&FF “Hottest Stangs of 2011” issue, but we saw it in person!
Manny’s Vortech Supercharged and Charge Cooled S281 Saleen Speedster was looking sharp as always.
We found this 3300AX Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharged Terminator Cobra in the grassy section with the rest of the Cobras.
This GT had one of the cleanest 2V engine bays we’ve seen in a while. A ton of powdercoating, Vortech Supercharger with custom air-to-air intercooler, and lots of attention paid to details make this an impressive car to look at…and then look at some more.
Black Paxton SN Series Supercharged Fox Body
Even though we didn’t catch it with the hood open, we are very familiar with this car and it’s build. Viper red paint, heavily built 347c.i. engine, Vortech V-1 T-Trim Supercharger, HRE Wheels, and 1 sick Mustang as a result.
Hillbank/TruFiber Paxton NOVI 2200 Supercharged and Intercooled S197 Mustang.
Our good friends at ADTR.net brought out their Vortech V-3 Supercharged Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. You probably wouldn’t want to try evading this pursuit vehicle! If you’ve got a Panther platform car in need of some extra ponies…these guys can make it happen!
Eddie Z. is famous for his burnouts, famous for his “hooning”, and famous for his Vortech V-3 blown & custom intercooled 4.6L 4 valve swap into his ’98 GT.

This has to be one of the most recognizable Legend Lime cars around, and it proudly shows off the Paxton NOVI 2200 System under the hood at every show.

Last but certainly not least…a bug surprise at the show was seeing this ultra-classic Mculloch variable speed traction drive centrifugal supercharger on a 1957 Thunderbird. This compressor pre-dates Paxton being known as Paxton boys and girls – This car and it’s supercharger are a valuable part of Ford performance history!
Thanks everyone…it was lots of fun as always. See you next year!
